Calabria is an accomplished violinist, composer, arranger, author, and educator. Ms Foti is a beautifully gifted artist who loves performing standards and show tunes from the Great American Songbook and the Golden Age of Hollywood. Her two highly acclaimed cd recordings, “A Lovely Way To Spend An Evening”, and “When A Woman Loves A Man”, have been heard throughout the world. Calabria received a Grammy nomination with T.V.’s Seth McFarlane, recording “Let’s Fall In Love”. Ms Foti is a master improviser, and interpreter of Jazz, Cabaret, and original lyrics. Calabria created the sound of T.V.’s “Lisa Simpson”, is the soloist on PBS “Great Performances”, and the films “Muppets”, “Most Wanted”, and “Sherlock Holmes”. World renowned master Trombonist Bob McChesney and husband of Calabria Foti, plays with beautiful feeling and lighting fast technique. Bob’s Jazz and Classical music vocabulary is amazing, and his unique “Noodle Tonguing style of playing makes him one of the preeminent trombone soloists in the world. Bob has recorded with Barbara Streisand, Shakira, Michael Buble, Natalie Cole, Rod Stewart, Chicago, Michael Bolton, Ray Charles, Diana Krall, and Arturo Sandoval. Composer/Arranger Lalo Schifrin comments, Bob McChesney gives us the joy of music at the highest level. One of McChesney’s big thrills was co-producing and performing on entertainer Steve Allen’s last recording, entitled “No Laughing Matter”. Rounding out the quintet are talented pianist Rich Eames, bassist Chris Conner, and drummer Tim Pleasant. This will be one evening of wonderful music you won’t want to miss.
